Diego Flauzino | Artist Bio

Originally from Brasília, Diego Flauzino shifted from a decade-long career in marketing and communication within the advertising industry to fully embracing his passion for ceramics. This rediscovery during the lockdown ignited a new artistic path that has since defined his creative practice.

Guided by the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, Diego’s work celebrates the beauty of imperfection—highlighting asymmetry, natural textures, and the quiet elegance found in everyday simplicity. His pieces achieve a seamless balance between sculptural sophistication and functional design.

Currently based in London, Diego is the Co-founder and Art Director of ClayWest Studio Ltd.(www.clayweststudio.com), where he also serves as Manager and Tutor. His role at the studio not only nurtures his own artistic journey but also supports a vibrant community of ceramic artists and learners.

Born and raised in Brasília, his artistic vision continues to be shaped by his environment—distilled, refined, and deeply connected to the world he inhabits.
